Passersby, don’t miss out! Everyday objects serve as silent witnesses to our lives, bearing stories of utility, creativity and innovation. The “Everyday Plus" exhibition features projects by designers, artists and community creators, inviting audiences to rediscover familiar objects - from old furniture, used tools, containers, knots and more as sources of inspiration. This exhibition aims to uncover their hidden "added value" and make new findings from the city and communities.

Over four months, the programme features a series of workshops, guided tours, talks and open-day activities to explore how design enriches life in surprising and meaningful ways.

Curatorial Statement

What do everyday objects mean to you? They are silent witnesses of our lives, carrying practicality, creativity, and stories of innovation. We use them every day without realising—plastic packaging, soda cans, clothing, knots on a bag, classroom desks, badminton rackets, and countless urban tools. These objects have significant connotations that connect functionality, aesthetics, environment, culture, and society. The "+" represents addition, enhancing design, utility, and imagination.

Everyday Plus exhibition brings together designers, artists, and community creators to reimagine familiar items, uncovering hidden added value and creativity in urban life. Over the months, visitors explore exhibitions, hands-on sessions, workshops, guided tours, and talks, discovering the unexpected connections between design and daily life. We will also host a special One-Day Open House in early August, inviting creative practitioners to share their experiences and expand conversations on design and living.
